A 3-For-1 Pizza and Wings employee was taken hostage yesterday after a dispute at the pizza franchisor’s head office on Bay St.

Police spokesperson Jim Muscat said an unidentified armed man held the victim in an eighth floor office.

The hostage was released unharmed about 4 p.m.

The incident was believed to be a spin-off from a $2.5 million lawsuit, launched against 3-For-1 by franchisees who claim management practices are forcing them out of business. A lawsuit claim must be proved in court.
